Female problems
Someone wrote to ask: “having female problems….physical…any recommendations where i can get I’ve got to say, I have never found WebMD particularily helpful on any subject. It seems to exist largely to refer you to your insurance company, physician, or pharmacist for some nice pricey prescription. You know, the “no matter what ails you we have a pill for it” method of health care. I do admit to a severe prejudice in this area, as I prefer alternative methods of health care in most cases. Without any specific information on the problems, I can only recommend a few sites that I have found useful, informative, and fairly unbiased - that is, willing to mention alternative treatments as well as “throw a pill at it”. Mayo Clinic One thing I certainly recommend if at all possible, is to seek more than one doctor’s opinion - and I strongly suggest you consider seeking a doctor who is a woman. Many doctors seem prone to not taking women’s health issues seriously, others make it seem as if the woman is imagining or exaggerating her problems. This is especially easy for a male doctor who has not had to live with those symptoms! Hoping you find the help you need - Summer Posted: Tuesday 12th February 2008, 5:58 PM |
