April Fools Day updates
If you like Squidoo, I put a couple of new lenses there on the same subjects: April Fools Day and The Trickster. With all that sort of foolishness, I only got one page up on Color-Your-Own.com, and you'll never guess what it is - A coyote headstudy - LOL.
I also discovered this week that my old Vegetarian Blog is like the 2nd result at Google if you google vegetarian blogs. So it got a little update and face lift, much needed. Now all that is well and good and lots of fun besides (I found so much new stuff on Prank Place that I'll probably be blogging about it all week)but...I have a serious plea to put out to you today.
I know we aren't alone, 7.1 million Americans are currently in foreclosure proceedings for their home. So much for Bush's "the economy is doing great". Yeah, it's doing great for the top 20% richest people in America - their income went up by 50% the last few years. Anyway - any and all help is deeply appreciated.
I just thought that since I have donated so much artwork to the greyhound charities (and others), allowed people to use my art and clipart for free for businesses and charities, that perhaps those people whom I have given to freely might be somewhat interested in helping me out in my time of need. We will survive, we always do. But I would very much like to help my roomie keep the ranch if it is at all possible. Think of this, too. We want to keep the place because we love it, we intend to live on it, we will husband it with loving care. The people trying to get it away from us want to use it as an investment, land speculating, hoping to sell it for big bucks when that much vaunted Spaceport goes in up the road. They seem to think a bunch of rocket scientists are going to want to move in to McMansions built here or something. Who would you rather have on this land - someone who gets a huge thrill when we see that big bobcat, or the elusive little desert foxes, who smile when a little band of pronghorn antelope dash across the front yard - or someone who can't wait to get the place paved. Just something to think about. Anyway - spring is definately on it's way. The chickens are laying. I'm running around in shorts. The horses are all full of themselves. Life is good - for the moment... Blessedbe Summer
