I am not alone in this. There are many people in the world who face this day with sadness in their heart. Some of us have lost our mothers, some mothers have lost their children. Be it to death, or other circumstances, it is just as painful today.

Some of us had horrible mothers. Yes, it is true - not every woman who gives birth to a child is also qualified to raise a child. Some mothers are abusive - even extremely abusive. Mine was.

I'm not begging for sympathy.

I am asking that you be compassionate on this day. To the people around you who may not have a wonderful Mother to bless. To those who have lost family.

If you are one of those people who find this day difficult, please accept my blessings, and take good care of yourself this day.

If you are blessed with a wonderful mother - please be grateful for what you have. You should take a moment EVERY DAY to be grateful for your good mother. Even if she drives you crazy worrying over you - remember how lucky you are to have someone who does love you, who cared for you as a child and gave you a loving start in life. You shouldn't need a special day once a year to think of her - you should think of her every single day and do nice things for her at every opportunity.
