And a great holiday to you...I hope everyone had as wonderful a Solstice as I did. As much as I meant to just take the day off, I still ended up running the gas weed eater over the thicket on the north side of the mule pen, putting the goats in the small mule pen, and moving the bird block feeder down by the mule pens. The birds are really hanging out there since I filled the water trough, so I thought I'd put the feeder down there, too. The rabbits have gotten where they barely bother to run from me. One of them looked me over yesterday, then just flat laid down and relaxed, right where I could see him. I believe I've been judged harmless. We got a big thrill headed in to town today - we passed a small herd of mule deer! The first I have ever seen in real life. Gee - they do have big ears! LOL. Well, the main thrust of my long and lost entry is that several domains of mine are expiring in the next two months. I've discovered, following my stats, that subdomains on the main demented-pixie.com seem to get indexed and ranked more quickly and higher in the search engine results. And subdomains cost me nothing to register and host (thank you dreamhost) so it's a win-win sort of situation for me. I'm also rearranging much of the graphics pages into subdomains as they have grown and grown and taken over and gone into sub-sub-sub folders until digging down and working on them is a real PITA. The only down side to this, is if you have bookmarked inside pages or those other domains. So if you hit a 404 or anything totally weird -check back here and at the site map. I will do my best to keep it updated right to the minute to the proper links. Don't forget to update your bookmarks if you need to, okay? Right at this minute - from now until the end of January you'll be seeing these changes.
If you have pages bookmarked inside the Demented Pixie Graphics website - all of the dog clipart and dog webgraphics have moved to here.
Sorry if I'm driving anyone mad. Once it's all done, it will be much easier to find your way around the garden - considering the wandering, meandering paths it has always been built around! I want to say a very big thank you to all of you who have used the Fre-ecards.com website for your holiday cards. I've been really touched by the number of cards that have flown out of there in the last few days. It means more than you know that people use and enjoy my work. And may you all have a lovely holiday, whatever you celebrate. Blessedbe Summer Posted: Friday 22nd December 2006, 1:05 PM Back to the Blog |
