Freaks of the Storm by Randy Cerveny Now to a rather more disappointing tome. Freaks of the Storm by Randy Cerveny is a compilation of the world's strangest true weather stories. You would think that this would be quite an intriguing and interesting volume, and well it could be if the author had written it differently. However, the author is a scientist and a college professor and after he has listed, categorized, and sifted for truth and actual factual proof what you are left with is dry as sand and about as interesting. I went from rather looking forward to it, to plowing through it, to giving up. And you know how rare it is for me to completely give up and not finish a book.
