New horse coloring page - a contest - and a personal challenge

I’ve just added another new horse coloring page - Reining Horse #2. You might be wondering why I created two reining horse coloring pages that seem so similar. There is method to my madness! There are a number of differences between the two that might really matter to a serious reining horse enthusiast!

The three most obvious differences are that one rider is a woman, and the other is a man. One horse is a fairly typical Quarter Horse type, and the other probably has a bit of Arabian blood judging from the dished face. Obviously, they are facing different directions. There are other differences, too.

So here’s our first contest!

Comparing the two reining horses; Reining Horse #1 and Reining Horse #2, how many differences can YOU find? Email your list to me at dpixie AT demented-pixie.com, with CYO contest in the subject line. May 2nd will be the last day of the contest and I will put up the list of differences you’ve all sent me on May 3rd. I’ll put the names of all who enter into a cowboy hat and draw a winner. Given that I’m pretty broke right now - I’m not sure how much of a prize I’ll have.

What would you like for a prize? A year’s subscription to a horse magazine? A gift certificate for one of the fun horse shopping websites listed at JustHorseCrazy.com? A personal drawing of your own horse (or other pet) from your photo? Maybe a drawing of your horse from your photo added to Color-Your-Own.com to be immortalized forever? By the way - those of you who play Orbis Games might want to know that I have another contest running for those players. Details for that contest are here - the prize is 8 unmade foundies at Virtual Pups (thus I figure only people who play those games would be interested - but it would make a nice start for a new player, too)

Now as for the challenge. I’m challenging myself, now that I have this lovely blog to post daily updates, to add one drawing every day this month - through the end of April. If I manage it, I will probably try to continue it…as long as I can keep up!
