Moon Goddess - the fairy den
At last I found it open. The inside does not disappoint. If you are of a fey bent of mind, you will feel right at home. Of course, you will also want one of everything, from the one of a kind jewelry, gifts, and clothing to the incense and bookmarks. Much of the merchandise is hand made by the owner and her fairy friends, truly one of a kind items. Others are from more commercial outlets, but no less delightful to the fairy mind.
I went in for an incense burner with Bast as a cat which I had seen from the window. I left with the burner, four kinds of incense (Night Queen! You can never find Night Queen!), a new bright pink and white and grey and black poncho with bright pink fringe and a pink fur collar, and a set of Amy Brown Fairy Cards. Less than a week later I was back to get one of the "Splat Fairy" that my husband had admired. (Cute little resin fairies who have obviously had a close encounter of a window kind)
The owners name is Twyla, and she is a fairy, too. The eclectic hours are explained by her two jobs - and she manages to squeeze in running this special place somehow, too! So, you never know - but if you are fey and you are ever in Truth or Consequences someday - serendipity has it that the Moon Goddess is bound to be open. Dive into the fairy den and revel in all the sparkly wonder!
