Creepy Gnome Terrorizes Town The little fella looks suspiciously like the hilarious Garden Gnomes here - which sort of makes me think he may be some sort of fake. It's a chicken-egg question. Do our conventional mental image of a garden gnome resemble this creature because he is a fake in a gnome costume of some sort, or because he is the real thing and our image is based on some old racial memory or historical images in story or illustration...
